Whilst Ingenuity comprises of a number of modules,
all information is held within a single database. Each module
accesses only that information that is pertinent, and which
users have been granted access to.
This means that there is only one entry point, so no data
is input, or held, more than once. For example, data entered
from within the HR module, such as details of a new employee,
will be available automatically to users of the Payroll module.
The structure of Ingenuity's ‘normalised’ database
ensures on-line access to all information that has ever been
entered into, or calculated by Ingenuity itself, for
ever.
